Anastasia Shadow Couture World Traveler Palette

I have been loving Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products lately, but whenever I made up my mind to order their eye shadow palettes they were mostly sold out. This time I was lucky enough to get my hands on the shadow couture palette and to be honest Pink Champagne is prolly the only reason I got hooked to this palette :p

Packaging is sleek and travel friendly with a small mirror inside. The shadows are compactly arranged but aren't that difficult to work with. It comes with a dual ended brush which is nothing fancy.

The palette contains 12 eye shadows ranging from vibrant mattes to shimmers and bold metallics.

Soft Peach: peachy beige with a matte finish
Morocco: reddish brown with a matte finish
Heirloom: egg plant purple with silver flakes
Bellini: golden orange with a satin finish
Pink Champagne: sparkly rosy taupe with metallic finish
Chic: muted gold with metallic finish
(P.S : Sorry for the bad picture quality of first row swatches)

Spoiled: peachy gold with metallic finish
Fudge: chocolate brown with a matte finish
Azure: vibrant blue with a metallic finish
Intense Gaze: coral with a satin finish
Metallic: yellow gold with metallic finish

Noir: carbon black with a matte finish

As with most eye shadows, a primer would bring out the colors of these shadows and make them last long. The texture of soft peach and morocco is powdery, fudge and noir are better in comparison to the two. Azure and metallic show a good color payoff on swatches whereas chic and spoiled are poorly pigmented. The metallic shadows can be intensified using mac fix+ which is quite a common practice.

Over all this palette has good range of shadows to create dramatic or neutral looks. I would rate it 3/5.

Pros:
-travel friendly
-wide range of colors
-inexpensive

Cons:
-some shadows lack pigmentation
-product fallout

It retails for 30$ on Anastasia Beverly Hills website . I ordered online from facebook page Mac Addict for around PKR 4500.

  1. I noticed a thing that Anastasia Shadow Couture World Traveler Palette showed average performance, even though price is so high. That is surprising.

  7. Hey Ana,
You visited my blog and left your comment there, so I definitely had to check your blog and I must say it's nice. You seem to be pro at makeup, I guess, i'll learn a lot from your blog.
I love the shades in this palette but if they lack pigmentation then why should we use Anastasia, we can use any normal palette. It should deliver the quality. Loved your review and blog. :)
